Installation/Replacement Process:
The tachometer glass is relatively easy to replace by following these steps:
- Open the Gauge: Carefully pry off the factory-crimped chrome trim bezel using a small flathead screwdriver.
- Remove Old Lens: Pry open around the edge and remove the crimped glass aluminum outer ring surrounding the tachometer.
- Clean & Inspect: Once open, replace the glass, ensuring the internal face is clean. This is a good time to inspect the face and repaint the needle if it has faded or replace a face decal.
- Reassemble: Carefully bend back the outer ring and crimp the chrome trim back into place.
